The weather was awful. A bit of rain, but mostly wind. Crazy wind. It was a few days until the start of the second Capital Trail bikepack adventure...or race…depending on your personal disposition. I'd already signed up and was now slowly getting my stuff together in my kitchen.

I'm looking forwards to taking part in this again this coming weekend. It'll likely be harder as it's autumn and there's less hours of daylight, not to mention the weather. Although, I think I should be a fair bit lighter as I know what to expect, and what I don't need to carry.

distance into the route.
