Description:Keywords
Engraved cup and ring marks. The largest cup marks is surrounded by five, open rings. A deep radial groove extends downwards from the cup mark, in line with the slope of the rock. Just outside the largest ring are two smaller cup marks. No satisfactory interpretation can be made of cup and ring marks, although some generalisations can be made: the carvings are usually on outcrops of rock, the carvings usually command open views of the surrounding area, they are frequently near to a tidal estuary or the sea.
